120 wineries, over 300 tasted wines: The best wine in Montalcino is Brunello di Montalcino 2012 Corte dei Venti

120 wineries, over 300 tasted wines and about 200 journalists to consider Sangiovese universe. Davide Bonucci and his partners definitely went big, for 2016 Sangiovese Purosangue edition.
At the end of these 4 days of tastings, workshops, conferences, theme dinners and visits to the cellar, Antonio Boco and Paolo De Cristofaro have published in the online newspaper (Tipicamente) their "top ten" divided into different production areas.
The ranking has been drawn up taking account both the dry tasting and combined with meats and other dishes, since "no wine-vine but Sangiovese highlights the "fallibility" of the most common procedure for tasting".
Our winery, Corte dei Venti, is in this niche with Brunello di Montalcino 2012 ... what a satisfaction!
Corte dei Venti – Brunello di Montalcino 2012
By a two-year, this name is quoted in the heading "news", when we talk about Montalcino. Inaccurate definition, if we consider a productive history dating back at least to the 80s. However, it’s incisive to frame the expressive style of Sangiovese Corte dei Venti. These Rossi are extremely current in their search for aromatic and tasty lightness. Above all, it’s appreciable in relation to the origin area, i.e. the red lands of Piancornello, southern slope near Amiata area, between 100 and 300 meters of height. 2012 year is so linear: small red fruits, roots and balsamic candies; it reveals a soft and tasty texture, with already quite melted ns. Hypster wine. [Paul]
