Brunello di Montalcino 2009 Corte dei Venti is one of the most superb wines of this vintage

Brunello di Montalcino 2009. What about it? Brunello's number with high ratings of full satisfaction was perhaps greater than in other editions. We don’t go to a flattening judgment (that was a phenomenon of the past, when wine was not even recognizable), but instead we go towards the typical product that connects territory and vintage. And here there is a quite long list. But since I know that my readers want to know what my number 1 is, I say that 2009 is Lambardi wine (pictured, the owner), which was the same for me also some years ago. But Lambardi is in very good company, with my revelation (also thanks to an extraordinary collaborator who helped me in tastings) of Lazzeretti and Corte dei Venti (equally superb). At the same level, there are two other famous revelations: Fattoi and Tiezzi. And again: Poggio Antico, Pieri and Salvioni. Always at the top, but with half a point below, we find Brunello di Montalcino di San Lorenzo, Talenti, Uccelliera, Capanna, Citille di Sopra, Cupano and even Pian delle Vigne.
Finally, an interesting carnet of tastings, with many excellent confirmations and some innovations. These are obviously just the tips of our tastings, but the list would be wider if we go to see again below half a point, that is to say being on 83/85 cents.
W Brunello! ... and also Nobile, of course.
